June 5-7, 2009 was our annual Family Fun Days. We welcomed friends, families, and teams from all over to spend a great weekend of sunshine, softball, basketball, mini-golf, worship, and many other activities.
The weekend was kicked-off with the first round of our softball tournament. We had 14 teams enter this year. Kilmanagh was our winning team, with Mayville Blue not far behind as runner-up. We even think that we set a record for the number of times that the Tabernacle and Youth Center roofs were hit between the two days of competition.
Our 3-on-3 basketball tournament was fun for the younger crowd to participate in on Saturday morning. Our winners are as follows:
7-8 year boys:
1st place- USA Bad Boys
9-10 year boys:
1st place- White Tornadoes
2nd place- Blue Bulldogs
11-12 year boys:
1st place- Nightmares
2nd place- Witness Fitness
13-14 year boys:
1st place- Mutton Chops
Our mini-golf, zip-line, and children's games were also available for families to take part in while they enjoyed their weekend at Bay Shore. Sunday brought us our first 5K run which was won with a time of 21:05. Worship brought the weekend to a bitter-sweet end as we reflected upon and celebrated the wonderful weekend with so many wonderful people.
Family Fun Days is always a great weekend at Bay Shore Camp. Now we are about to head in to our first week of summer camps. Basketball and Fishing start things off next week. The runner up for the softball tournament was Buel United Methodist Church out of Croswell not Mayville Blue
